Speed alone won't win every Race. You need to master the drift mechanic to maintain momentum. Hold your drift through sharp corners until the sparks change color from blue to orange, and finally to pink. Releasing the drift at the pink stage provides a massive boost. Use the terrain to your advantage by launching off dunes. Perform tricks in mid-air to gain extra speed upon landing. Smash item crates to collect rockets, nitro, shields, and coconuts to sabotage your opponents. If you want a challenge, try Elimination or Time Trial modes to refine your driving lines.
